Will You PASS or FAIL??
It’s the only “Grade” that counts for all eternity.
What must be done to pass the most important test of your life?
Will you pass this test or will you fail?
Here’s how you can pass. In fact, you can receive an A+!
Step #1: You Must Confess.
You are GUILTY of breaking God’s Law because of your SIN (these are the things you do that are wrong or bad).
“For whoever keeps the whole law and yet stumbles at just one point is guilty of breaking all of it.” (James 2:10)
“As it is written: ‘None is righteous, no, not one; no one understands; no one seeks for God. All have turned aside; together they have become worthless; no one does good, not even one.’…For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” (Romans 3:10-12, 23)
“For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” (Romans 6:23)
“Surely the arm of the LORD is not too short to save, nor his ear too dull to hear. But your iniquities have separated you from your God; your sins have hidden his face from you, so that he will not hear.” (Isaiah 59:1-2)
Step #2: You Must Believe.
JESUS CHRIST took your “GUILTY” verdict upon himself at the CROSS and died for you, taking your Death Penalty.
“When you were dead in your sins and in the uncircumcision of your flesh, God made you alive with Christ. He forgave us all our sins, having canceled the charge of our legal indebtedness, which stood against us and condemned us; he has taken it away, nailing it to the cross.” (Colossians 2:13-14)
“For Christ died for sins once for all, the righteous for the unrighteous, to bring you to God He [Jesus] was put to death in the body but made alive by the Spirit.” (1 Peter 3:18)
“You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly. Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous person, though for a good person someone might possibly dare to die. But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Since we have now been justified by his blood, how much more shall we be saved from God’s wrath through him!” (Romans 5:6-9)
Step #3: You Must Repent.
“REPENT” means telling God you are SORRY for your many sins and you need His Spirit to help you TURN from them.
“Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord.” (Acts 3:19)
“Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. The promise is for you and your children and for all who are far off—for all whom the Lord our God will call.” (Acts 2:38-39)
“I tell you no! But unless you repent, you too will all perish.” (Luke 13:3)
“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.” (John 3:16-17)
Step #4: You Must Receive.
God’s FREE GIFT of forgiveness is FOR YOU in JESUS. Thank Him for His life, death, and resurrection to save you!
“For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—not by works, so that no one can boast. For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.” (Ephesians 2:8-9)
“Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name [Jesus], he gave the right to become children of God.” (John 1:12)
“Here is a trustworthy saying that deserves full acceptance: Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners—of whom I am the worst. But for that very reason I was shown mercy so that in me, the worst of sinners, Christ Jesus might display his immense patience as an example for those who would believe in him and receive eternal life.” (1 Timothy 1:15-16)
“Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.” (Hebrews 4:16)
You Can Pray Today!
Here is how Jesus teaches us to PRAY and receive his FORGIVENESS.
“When you pray, say: Father, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come. Give us each day our daily bread. Forgive us our sins, for we also forgive everyone who sins against us. And lead us not into temptation…So I say to you: Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.” (Luke 11:2-4, 9-11)
You now know JESUS SAVES YOU and GIVES YOU eternal life as a CHILD OF GOD.
“And this is the testimony; God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. He who has the Son has life: he who does not have the Son of God does not have life. I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, so that you may know that you have eternal life.” (1 John 5:11-13)
“I [Jesus] tell you the truth, whoever hears my Word and believes Him who sent Me has eternal life and will not be condemned; he has crossed over from death to life.” (John 5:24)
Below is God’s personal contract with you to help you always remember His promise for you. Add your name in the blanks to make it personal. Jesus said these words, and He always tells the truth!
“For God so loved ___________ that He gave His one and only Son, that if ____________ believes in Him [Jesus] ____________ shall not perish, but ____________ will have eternal life.” (John 3:16)
Because of what Jesus has done for you, YOU HAVE PASSED the most important test of your life! You are now a spiritual baby—regardless of your position, age, or training. As soon as a physical baby is born, he starts to grow. In the same way, a spiritual baby must start to grow. And it is sad to see a baby who is malnourished and unable to grow healthy. It is just as sad to see a new spiritual baby who is not growing or developing.
