Southside Youth Outreach (SYO) is an Associate Ministry of Midland Ministries. it was founded in 1994 by Shane Sanderson. His vision is to reach the young people of the Southside of St. Joseph to Christ. He's well know for his gifts of evangelism, powerful preaching and connecting with teens of any age.

SYO Ministry
Southside Youth Outreach operates 2 weekly outreach and evangelistic events: TJAM and SQ 632. TJAM (Thursday Jesus And ME) is for 5th and 6th grader and SQ 632 (Student Quest @ 6:32 PM) is for 7th through 12th grades. SYO also provides opportunities for students to go on Discipleship and Missions Trips. Shane and Jodi work closely with Southside students through school volunteering at Hyde Elementary, Spring Garden Middle School, and Benton High School. Shane and Jodi are also actively involved in Midland Ministries Bible Quiz Ministry by sponsoring four Bible Quiz Teams: Red Fish, Blue Fish, Green Fish, and Gold Fish. SYO also sponsors a summer girls Bible study call G.R.A.C.E. and a skateboard team called "Messengers."
